He later graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Public Communications, and an Associates Degree in Recreation Technology. Upon the completion of his degree, Tyrone played professional basketball in the American Basketball Association, Colonial Basketball Association, and the Latin National Basketball Association. He lead the San Luis Mexico team as the leading scorer and team captain.
